Roger A. Michalski asks about "Safe drill bit for birdhouses."
I need a 1 1/2 in. drill bit to drill in birdhouses. Auger bits are to dangerious for children. Many of the holes will be drilled with a hand drill by children. I have 350 holes to drill for the state park programs this spring and summer. Something inexpensive as money is usually tight. Any suggestions?
THANKS

Answer:
All drill bits are dangerous without proper training.

SAS.500 is a really good bit and easy to use with it screw point, it pulls itself in so they do not have to push.
